Guys, Kyle and I get married in THREE weeks!! So incredibly crazy, exciting, and wild. Although this means we will have the best party, finally be Mr and Mrs, and be sitting on the beaches of Maldives, it also means we move into our home in three short weeks. This statement alone makes me want to run to the county line, but what do ya do?
We have three huge task to do in the coming weeks. One being building our laundry room, building our master bedroom/bathroom/closet, and the other being our kitchen. Nothing too important right? We were smart and finished all the less important rooms first…learn from us, when renovating do the important rooms first. But I will say our spare bedroom is already pretty darn cute.
Our living room is finally painted and the paper was ripped up just a few short hours before I took some bridals! (cannot wait to show them off) We chose the color Mindful Grey from Sherwin Williams and honestly I have almost painted our whole house this color..I am obsessed! And our original fire place survived without any paint splatter! Winnn!!!
Not a win…Sheetrock dust. If ya’ll want to make this girl go white girl crazy, just get sheet rock dust all over a freshly waxed floor. Poor Kyle got my wrath. This mess is actually from our laundry room demo. If you have me on snapchat you saw Kyle beating the hell out of our bar with a crowbar while I’m sitting in the line of fire with my mimosa.
PSA: We used our stove for the first time this week!! It was just as fabulous as I had dreamed and I felt like a true Italian chef.Only kidding…we used it to warm up left over pizza from the night before, but it was still just as fabulous as I had dreamed.
We will end with the good. I am madly obsessed with our stairs. They are beat up, scratched like crazy, and there are spots that look like a puppy used it as a chew toy, but that is why I am in love. It is an original piece, meaning they have been used since 1910. I can’t help but think of all the babies that have ran up and down them or the number of terrible shoulder-pad prom pictures that have been taken on them. And I have managed to keep my house plants alive so GO ME!!
I have a feeling with all the demos this week, next week’s post will be a lot of “the ugly” part of the mix. So for now, we are loving the good!!
I hope y’all have a fabulous Monday and as always thank you for reading!
