Happy Monday to all my fellow manic Monday participants. This weekend was full of learning, relaxation, and some resetting. Friday, I went to Little Rock to participate in 360 thrive training for Limelight. One thing that I have been trying to start is a morning routine. I am currently reading The Miracle Morning (I would recommend it to everyone) it has truly opened my eyes to some different ideas. During the training, the speaker, Jacob, spoke about finding your morning routines also (hello God sign) So this week I am planning and perfecting my morning routine. People hold me accountable for not sleeping in!! Kyle’s parents traveled to Afghanistan a few weeks ago and brought back this beautiful tea set. These are hand painted. Afghanistan has some talented people in the tea set department. We are getting somewhere, believe it or not. Our vanity is now in the bathroom, but just needs to be set. Note Kyle’s OCD tool placement. We both tell each other we are OCD about the most pointless things. Question though, I can’t figure out what I want to do our counter top in…at first I wanted concrete, but now I am leaning towards quartz or granite! What to do?!?
For our upstairs hallway I wanted a picture wall, but didn’t want to be constantly moving photos around. I decided on a trim shelf full of photos that we can move and replace easily. Granted all of the frames are empty, but that’s on the to do list this week.
I am sure you are wondering what’s the deal with the monkey wallpaper. My grandma just redid her entire house and growing up those monkeys were my favorite. I used to always go in the bathroom and count them or name them…(swear I was a normal kid) but I have a lot of memories with that wallpaper so when she decided to strip it I asked for a piece to frame.
Talk about flashback from the 70s. Kyle brought this stool back from his parents lake house they just cleaned out. It is the perfect height for my vanity. I’m spray painting it gold and thinking a fun leopard pattern will be perfect for it.
So Monday is here, ready or not, and this week I will be in the moment more and I will figure out this morning routine!! I hope each of you had a fabulous Mother’s Day! I love you all and as always thank you for reading!
